At Carter Financial Management, giving back has always been more than a tradition—it’s part of who we are.
On Friday, December 12, our team spent the day volunteering with The Salvation Army, lending a hand in preparation for their upcoming Angel Tree Distribution. While the magic of distribution day often gets the spotlight, this time we stepped into the behind-the-scenes work that makes those special moments possible.
Our task for the day was to bring order to what initially looked like organized chaos: hundreds of individual gift bags collected from various drop-off points. The team worked together to sort, organize, and assemble those gifts into larger “family” bags, helping streamline the pickup
process for distribution day.
Several members of our team have previously volunteered on Angel Tree distribution day itself, so we knew just how meaningful—and logistically complex—the process can be. This year, we wanted to experience the preparation side as well, gaining a deeper appreciation for the planning, coordination, and teamwork required to make angel wishes come true.
That experience felt very familiar. Much like financial planning, charitable work requires thoughtful preparation, attention to detail, and collaboration behind the scenes for everything to come together seamlessly.
Carter Financial Management has proudly participated in bi-annual charity volunteer days since 1980. Each opportunity reminds us why this tradition matters so deeply. We strive not only to show up, but to exceed expectations—supporting organizations in ways that truly make a
difference.
We’re grateful to have played a small role in a much bigger mission and to support the incredible work The Salvation Army does for families in our community.
