The Carter Financial Management team traded financial planning for a little friendly competition on Thursday, September 3, as we hit the courses at Puttshack for a team outing filled with plenty of laughs, cheers and good-natured rivalry.
Before the first putt was even taken, the competition began with an unexpected challenge: a geography question! The answer—based on the distance between two locations—determined how we divided into teams.
Let’s just say the exercise reminded us how thankful we are that our team helps clients map out their financial futures rather than providing directions from Point A to Point B. Some of us proved considerably more geographically gifted than others, which naturally provided plenty of material for humorous banter throughout the day.
Once the teams were set, it was time to see who could master Puttshack’s creative and challenging courses. There were impressive shots, a few that may be better left unmentioned, plenty of cajoling among teammates and, most importantly, lots of cheering one another on.
Days like this give us an opportunity to step away from our desks, enjoy each other’s company and strengthen the camaraderie that is such an important part of the culture at Carter Financial Management.
We may not all agree on which direction is north, but we certainly know how to have a good time together!
