Bill Carter recently had the honor of attending the Foundation for Financial Planning’s 30th Anniversary Gala in Washington, D.C. The event was held at the iconic Library of Congress—an awe-inspiring venue befitting an evening that celebrated the past, present, and future of pro bono financial planning.
As both an attendee and proud sponsor, Bill was especially moved to reconnect with longtime friend and financial planning trailblazer Alex Armstrong. Bill and Alex have been good friends for over 45 years. Alex made history as the first person in Washington, D.C. to earn the CFP® certification, and her groundbreaking achievements have inspired generations of women in the profession.
Bill’s connection to the Foundation also runs deep—he served as Chairman in 2003 and Past Chair in 2004. Witnessing the organization’s incredible growth and enduring mission made this milestone event all the more meaningful.
The evening was a celebration of the Foundation’s powerful impact over the past three decades—providing free financial guidance to those in need—and a rallying call for continued collaboration in the years ahead.
“It’s inspiring to reflect on how far the Foundation has come and to imagine the good we can still accomplish together.”
We’re proud to support the Foundation for Financial Planning and grateful for its 30 years of life-changing service.
