Bill Carter recently had the honor of attending a Chairman’s Advisory Board meeting for the foundation supporting Children’s Health—an already meaningful gathering that became truly historic. During the meeting, Brent Christopher, President of Children’s Medical Center Foundation, and Christopher Durovich, President and Chief Executive Officer of Children’s Health, announced a transformative gift north of $100 million—one of the largest in nonprofit history. While the exact amount cannot be publicly disclosed, the impact of this extraordinary contribution is already being felt.
This generous gift follows two previous donations of $100 million each, bringing the total raised for the new Dallas pediatric campus being created by Children’s Health and UT Southwestern to a truly remarkable level.
These gifts are more than just generous donations—they are a testament to years of thoughtful relationship building and the deep trust donors have in the Foundation’s stewardship to use these funds to create meaningful, lasting impact in the lives of children and families.
