Tyler is a Certified Financial Planner® and Retirement Income Certified Planner®, serving as a trusted guide through clients’ most complex financial decisions. By helping clients separate emotion from finances, he empowers them to confidently pursue their long-term goals. His holistic approach weaves together tailored retirement income plans, tax-efficient strategies, charitable planning, and disciplined investment guidance—backed by deep research into U.S. and global economic trends. Tyler began his career at Fidelity Investments and now leads across initiatives at Carter, including chairing the CFM Management Team and chairing Carter Education Partners, which hosts annual investment conferences and client seminars. His insightful commentary on financial planning has also been featured in The Wall Street Journal.

Leadership and Service

Service isn’t just part of Tyler’s professional identity—it’s foundational to his values. He’s held key leadership roles with the Financial Planning Association’s DFW Chapter (including President) and served on boards for the Texas Tech Alumni Association of Dallas and the Texas Tech Financial Planning Advisory Board. Tyler also dedicates his time to local nonprofits like the Communities Foundation of Texas, The Senior Source, Methodist Health Foundation, 4 Corners Global Outreach, and the Assistance Center of Collin County.

Education & Recognition

Tyler earned his Bachelor of Science in Personal Financial Planning from Texas Tech University. Under his leadership, Carter Financial Management has consistently ranked among D Magazine’s Top Wealth Managers in Dallas since 2015 1.

Personal Life

Tyler lives in Richardson his two daughters. They are active members of St. Andrew Methodist Church in Plano and he treasures time spent with his family and friends.
