Melissa joined Carter Financial Management in 2025, bringing with her more than 20 years of experience in both law firm and corporate environments. As an experienced Executive Assistant and Communications Specialist, she plays a key role in supporting Bill Carter, Chief Executive Officer, and enhancing the firm’s internal and external communications.

In her dual role, Melissa manages executive scheduling and correspondence, assists with client communications, and contributes to the development of marketing and communication materials. She also coordinates company events, supports continuing education efforts, and ensures smooth communication across teams and with clients.

Melissa’s background includes extensive experience in both legal and corporate settings, including Greyhound Lines, Inc., where she supported the President and Chief Operating Officer for more than nine years. In that role, she worked closely with the Executive and Operations Teams, managing travel logistics, corporate communications, and company-wide events.

Personal

Melissa is married and has two beautiful children. She enjoys horseback riding on her family’s ranch, as well as reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
